A praying mantis landed on the windshield of Post and Courier photographer Alan Hawes' car on Thursday, July 2, 2009, at South Windermere Shopping Center and the forced perspective made it look as though it was something out of a Japanese monster movie. Hawes decided to have some fun and photographed the insect from various angles.
