Thursday, July 2, 2009
A man on a bicycle was killed when he was hit by a car in Ladson on Tuesday night.
The victim was Jose Rodriguez-Porcero, 22, of Mexico, Charleston County Chief Deputy Coroner Judy Koelpin said.
He was hit by a car on U.S. Highway 78 near the fairgrounds shortly before midnight and died at the scene of head injuries, she said.
The victim rode the bike in front of the car, the driver stopped at the scene, and no charges were filed, Charleston County Sheriff's Maj. John Clark said.
