Missing Greer woman found dead of gunshot to chest
Associated Press
Tuesday, January 13, 2009
GREENVILLE — A South Carolina woman missing since last week has been found dead from a gunshot wound.
Greenville County Deputy Coroner Kylie Strange says an autopsy is being conducted Tuesday on 31-year-old Talibah Lanease Allen.
Authorities say the Greer woman's body was found near a dirt-bike trail Monday afternoon. She had been shot at least once in the chest.
Allen's family reported her missing Saturday and investigators found her car early Sunday morning.
No arrests have been made, but deputies say they're investigating Allen's death as a homicide.
