Wiring books

About 64,000 instructional books on home wiring, published by The Taunton Press, of Newtown, Conn., because several diagrams contain technical errors that could mislead those using it for instructions. The recalled books are: the third edition of "Wiring a House" and "Wiring Complete, Expert Advice from Start to Finish." No incidents have been reported. The books were sold at home improvement, book and other stores around the country between February and November 2008. Details: by phone at 800-477-8727; on the Web at www.taunton.com.

Vests

About 5,000 reversible vests for boys, manufactured in India and retailed by The Bon-Ton Department Stores Inc. of York, Pa., because the zipper tabs do not meet federal standards and pose a choking risk. No incidents have been reported. The vests were sold at Bon-Ton, Bergner's, Boston Store, Elder-Beerman, Herberger's, Younkers and Carson Pirie Scott stores around the country and Parisian in the Detroit area between July and November 2008.
