Dear Enemy
Dear Enemy is the result of several bands merging into one. Once seen as competitors in the unforgiving music scene of Atlanta, the members of Dear Enemy rose from the ruins of other bands to form a hard-hitting rock quintet that has been on a fast track in the mainstream rock world.
Dear Enemy's EP "Walking Past Yesterday" has catapulted them to unforeseen success and earned them touring slots with such rock heavyweights as Three Days Grace, Red, Nonpoint, Chevelle and Taproot.
Dear Enemy will perform with Taproot and Souls Harbor at 8 p.m. Jan. 6 at the Music Farm, 32 Ann St. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door or online at etix.com.

The Malah
When electro-jam unit The Malah formed in 2003, the goal for the Greenville trio was to diversify the over-crowded jam-band scene with a new sound and a new approach to jam music altogether. The result was a band using the knowledge of jam music's past and expressing that knowledge through the tools of electronica's future.
The band weaves the threads of jam music's stream-of-consciousness songwriting, traditional instruments and live performances with the help of electronica's innovative technology and eerie ability to entrance its listeners.
The Malah recently released its sophomore studio album, "Sound Spectrum," and will be gradually releasing a series of digital recordings from live performances titled "Live From Earth." The Malah will perform Saturday at The Pour House, 1977 Maybank Hwy.

After sharing the stage with such acts as the Wailers, Train, 2 Skinny J's, Widespread Panic and Beenie Man, Selah Dubb has built a solid reputation as one of the region's foremost reggae acts.

Weigh Station
Over the past two years, the Charleston quintet Weigh Station has made a name for itself as a gritty, blues/rock band with an affection for live performances. The band's ability to meld the sounds of hard rock and moody blues makes for a jam session that transcends both genres for a blazing concoction that speaks as much to the soul-searcher as it does the head-banger.
Weigh Station will perform Friday at The Pour House.
