4 displaced by fire in North Charleston

Tuesday, December 29, 2009

Four people were left homeless by a Monday afternoon fire in North Charleston, according to the American Red Cross.

One adult and three children were displaced by the fire at 140 Stratton Drive and received aid to meet their immediate needs, the Red Cross said in a news release.

Red Cross volunteers provided the family with comfort kits, which include personal items to replace those lost in the fire. The Red Cross also provided funds for food and temporary lodging arrangements.
