Weapons, ammo seized
Colleton County sheriff's deputies announced Wednesday the seizure of guns, ammunition and illegal narcotics as a result of a search warrant stemming from the investigation into a shooting Sunday in the parking lot of the Apollo Lounge in Walterboro.
Three handguns, two long guns, extra magazines and other ammunition were found Tuesday at 105 Madison St. during a search, according to a press release from the Sheriff's Office.
The search also yielded a "large amount of illegal narcotics," the release said.
Two male juveniles were detained and an adult male was arrested on drug charges, the release said.
Daquan Lawton of 416 Sharon Drive, Walterboro, is charged with manufacture or distribution of cocaine base, first offense, the release said.
At about 11 p.m. Sunday, Kaylon Aiken, 23, was shot outside the nightclub.
Angel Sherie Farmer, 21, of Wildwood Drive is accused of shooting him. She was found on Madison Street after the shooting.
Farmer is charged with assault and battery with intent to kill and was being held in the Colleton County Detention Center.
