Two men accused of kidnapping, robbing and raping a woman they allegedly lured in a sex-for-cash scheme were held without bond Saturday. Two women accused of helping them also remained in jail.

Each of the four was on parole or probation from earlier charges.

Kendrick Darnell Fulton appeared in court by closed circuit camera from Charleston Detention Center with his hands at his side, wearing a white T-shirt with an ornate design of skulls. He said nothing except to reply to questions. Troy L. Saxby stood with his hands clasped and pleaded with the judge for a bond he could afford to make payments on.

Fulton, 22, 1721 Rifle Range Rd., Mount Pleasant, and Saxby, 27, 3806 Dorsey Drive, North Charleston, were held without bond on the charge of criminal sexual conduct, according to affidavits. Bond was set as $100,000 for each on charges of kidnapping and strong arm robbery.

Brittany Renee Coakley, 19, of North Charleston, was held on a $100,000 bond for kidnapping and strong arm robbery , according to affidavits. She spoke in a quiet voice and admitted sheepishly to the judge that she is a high school student.

Patience Nwaogbe, 27, of North Charleston, did not appear in bond court. She is being held at Berkeley County Detention Center on marijuana, driving under the influence and possession of drug paraphernalia charges from an arrest earlier this month. She will face charges in this incident after she goes to court on the Berkeley County charges.

According to the police report or affidavits, Fulton used Craig’s List to contact a 25-year-old Columbia woman and text messages to agree to pay her $600 if she met with him at a North Charleston residence. When the woman arrived Nov. 30, Saxby grabbed her from behind and choked her unconscious, according to the reports. She was bound with duct tape and threatened with her life when she woke.

The four forced her to tell her ATM access number and then to show them how to start her car outside, which had wiring problems, according to reports. The female suspects drove off and the men allegedly raped the woman, according to the reports. The victim was allegedly robbed of the car, $33.80 in her account, her cell phone and two bank cards.

When the men let the Columbia woman go, one of them reportedly whispered that he would give her money for the car and a bus ticket, then wrote his phone number on a piece of her clothing.
