Sheryl-Anne Biss

Family: Married. Two children, Jake David, 30, and Julie Anne, 29.

Experiences: Twenty-two years. Science teacher, assistant principal and principal.

Education: Bachelor of Science, Bridgewater State College; Master of Education, Cambridge College; continued advanced graduate studies in educational leadership and management, Fitchburg State College, Mass.

Why I wanted to go into education: Because children are our future.

Something I've always wanted to learn: To speak Spanish fluently.

Something important life has taught me: To tell the people you love and care about that you love and care about them. They could be gone in the blink of an eye.

Something most people don't know about me: I went sky diving with my dad and ride a Harley.

Something my parents always told me: Toil awhile, endure awhile, believe always and never turn back.

Fond childhood memory: Water skiing on the lake with the entire family.

A specific goal I hope to accomplish during this first year: I would like for all students to meet with success, take ownership of their learning and want to be part of the school community.
