By Diette Courrégé

Charleston County School Superintendent Nancy McGinley gave the school board more details Monday night about the proposed Lowcountry Technical Academy for Health, Human and Public Services that will share its downtown campus with the Charleston Charter School for Math & Science.
McGinley plans to establish two task forces – one that would develop the school’s academic program and another that would work with the charter school on the renovations needs of the downtown campus.
School officials don’t know how much the new Lowcountry Technical Academy will cost or how they will pay for it, but they do plan to proceed with planning.
