Two-vehicle accident

North Charleston Police work at the scene of a two-vehicle accident Monday on Rivers Avenue (near Ashley Phosphate) at the entry to the Target Shopping Center. According to North Charleston Director of Public Safety Communications Spencer Pryor, the driver of a Plymouth van was exiting the Target Center on the green light and heading south on Rivers Avenue when, according to witnesses, the driver of a Mazda heading north ran the red light and struck the van. One person was airlifted from the scene in serious condition; three others were transported via EMS with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.
