Cancer walkathon set
The Oral Cancer Walkathon is slated from 2-4 p.m. Sunday in Hampton Park. All donations from the 5-kilometer walk will benefit the Head and Neck Cancer Alliance and oral cancer research.
Between April 27 and May 3, at least three locations in Charleston County will offer free screenings: the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center, the Medical University of South Carolina horseshoe, and the Mobile Health Unit on King Street. The screenings typically last about five minutes, are non-invasive and painless. To find the testing site nearest you, visit www.ohancaw.com.
