Holly redux on 'General Hospital'

While some TV soap operas are shedding longtime actors from their casts, "General Hospital" is going in the opposite direction.

Emma Samms and her character, Holly Sutton, are slated to return sometime in May. It's unclear what Holly will be up to this time around, but Luke and Lulu likely will figure into it.

Samms began playing Holly in 1982, leaving the soap in 1985. After a several-year absence, she returned for a yearlong stint that began in 1992. Last seen on the show in 2006, Holly demanded megabucks for the cure of a Port Charles encephalitis outbreak.

That short-term reappearance ended when Holly was carted off to prison.
