McMaster helping donate armor
Monday, April 6, 2009
COLUMBIA — South Carolina's top prosecutor is joining with a nonprofit group to donate body armor to some of the state's law enforcement officers.
Attorney General Henry McMaster is presenting vests to the Springdale Police Department and Newberry County Sheriff's Office during a ceremony on Sunday.
The vests were donated by In-Vest USA.
The nonprofit was founded in 1993 by a South Carolina businessman concerned that protective vests weren't being given to local law enforcement officers as a regular part of their personal equipment.

How about S.C. Volunteer State Constables who have to buy their own uniforms that includes bulletproof vest? They work for the State of South Carolina for free.
