Judge rules against Platt's Green Party bid

COLUMBIA — A federal judge here ruled against Green Party candidate Eugene Platt's request Thursday for court intervention to place him on the November ballot for House District 115.

U.S. District Judge Cameron McGowan Currie issued an immediate ruling given time constraints after hearing arguements for Platt, represented by the American Civil Liberties Union attorneys, and for the State Election Commission.
