DETAILS: Monthly meeting. Free parking on the side of the building.

What: Meet and Greet.

Who: Grateful Goldens.

When: 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. Saturday.

Where: Palmetto Paws, Houston Northcutt Shopping Center, Mount Pleasant.

Details: Volunteers and adoptable goldens will be on hand.

WHAT: Fifth annual "Paw"ker Run.

WHO: Frances R. Willis SPCA Shelter.

when: Sept. 20. Registration, 10 a.m.; ride starts at 11 a.m.

Where: Dorchester Shrine Club, Highway 61 East, Summerville.

Details: A fundraiser for the SPCA. Participants will go to Riders Saloon in Moncks Corner, then stop at Big Deck Daddy's on Rivers Avenue in North Charleston, then go to Wolftrack Inn in West Ashley, then to Rockafella's in Summerville, then an optional stop and tour of the SPCA before returning to Dorchester Shrine Club. The event includes food, prizes and entertainment by DJ Eddie.

WHAT: Doggie Dining at the Dog and Duck.

WHO: Low Country Golden Retriever Rescue.

WHEN: 5-8 p.m. Sept. 24.

WHERE: The Dog and the Duck, 624-A Long Point Road, Mount Pleasant.

DETAILS: Anyone interested in the rescue is invited. Dogs welcome.

Who: Charleston Animal Society.

When: 10 a.m.-2 p.m. the first and third Saturday of every month.

Where: Petsmart, Longpoint Road in the Belle Hall Shopping Center, Mount Pleasant.

What: September Pug Play Time.

Who: Charleston Area Pug Meetup Group.

When: 4:15 p.m. Sept. 21.

Where: PetSmart, Longpoint Road, Mount Pleasant.

Details: Pugs will have a great time playing together.
