Banking

SunTrust Bank has added three employees to its Charleston mortgage unit. Josh Feldman is a mortgage loan officer, and Kim Katich and Kelly Webb are mortgage loan associates.

Feldman has more than 10 years of mortgage lending experience. Previously, he was with Countrywide Home Loans and Wachovia Mortgage. Katich has 10 years of mortgage lending experience and previously was with Countrywide. Webb also was previously with Countrywide.

Construction

John Astad has joined Classic Remodeling & Construction Inc. as a sales and project manager for its new small repairs division. Previously, he was a project manager in residential construction.

Education

David Cohen has been named dean of the College of Charleston's School of Languages, Cultures and World Affairs. He had been interim dean since 2007. Cohen had served as the dean of Libraries and Academic Information Services at the college since 1982.

Engineering

Rick Day has been named to lead Stantec's transportation services practice in Charleston. He is a transportation engineer and has more than 30 years of experience. He has a degree from The Citadel and is a registered professional engineer in South Carolina and eight other Southeastern states.

Government

Frank J. Oakley has been named director of the Charleston County Department of Social Services. He has a degree in finance from Francis Marion University.

Herbert S. Fielding, Daniel J. Grigg, Josette Lee-Pearson and Rob Wiggins have joined the Trident One-Stop Career System as workforce specialists. Fielding previously was a disabled veterans outplacement specialist with the S.C. Employment Security Commission. He studied political science at the College of Charleston and computer systems at Columbia College. Grigg previously was a community development manager and compliance analyst with the Lowcountry Food Bank. He has bachelor's degree in political science from Coastal Carolina University and a master's degree in public administration from the College of Charleston. Lee-Pearson previously was administrative coordinator for CMC Americas Inc. She has a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of South Carolina. Wiggins previously was with the Employment Security Commission in Moncks Corner and Marion. He has a bachelor's degree in early childhood education and business administration from Clemson University.

Health care

Ashley W. Redmond has joined Roper St. Francis Healthcare as manager of the Ryan White HIV Care Management Program. She has a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in public health, both from the University of South Carolina. Previously, she was a case manager supervisor with Lowcountry AIDS Services.

Dr. Chad R. Burgoyne has joined Lowcountry Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine. He has a medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina and completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. He recently completed a sports medicine fellowship at West Coast Sports Medicine in Los Angeles.

Dr. Natalie Massie Gregory has joined Lowcountry Obstetrics & Gynecology. She has a bachelor's degree from Presbyterian College and a medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. She completed her residency at the University of Colorado.

Insurance

Paul Gingrich has been named vice president of Apex Global Partners' newly opened aviation division in Charleston.

Nonprofit

Gretchen Frazier joined the Charleston Symphony Orchestra as assistant principal viola. She has degrees from the Crane School of Music at the State University of New York and the Cincinnati Conservatory. She previously was with the Savannah Symphony. She also teaches strings at Ashley Hall School for Girls.

Office services

Nic Jackson has been promoted to sales manager for Docugraphics in the Charleston region.

Printing

Will Cater, Fatima Watlington and Joe Paul have joined Sawgrass Technologies Inc. Cater is a software engineer. He has a bachelor's degree in computer science from the College of Charleston. Watlington is a technical support specialist. She has a bachelor's degree in management information systems from Winston-Salem State University. Paul is product support specialist in the commercial and industrial division. He has a degree from the University of Kentucky.

Real estate

Matt Eaves and Will Phillips have joined Anchor Commercial|CORFAC International as associates. Eaves has a degree in finance with a minor in real estate from Clemson University. He has been a real estate agent since 2001. Philips has a degree from Clemson. He previously was with NAI BT in Palo Alto, Calif.

Josie Irvin has joined Lane and Smythe Real Estate as an agent. She has a bachelor's degree in communications from the College of Charleston.

Kristina Connolly has joined Akers Ellis & Truluck Real Estate LLC as an agent. Previously, she was with Atlantic Island Properties. She attended Wright State University.

Skin care

Cathy Rovick has joined Charleston Medical Spa. She has multiple certifications as a laser technician with more than five years experience. Previously, she was with the Natural Hideaway.

Staffing

John Meekins has joined Kelly Services Inc. as district manager for the Charleston market. Previously, he was strategic accounts manager for CLP Resources. He has more than 11 years of experience in the staffing industry and attended Old Dominion University.

Gina Warren has been named quality assurance supervisor at Innovative Partners Inc. She has a bachelor's degree from George Mason University and she attended the University of Florida.
