McDonald's on Rivers Ave. held up
Tuesday, October 7, 2008
Armed robbers held up a Rivers Avenue McDonald's restaurant early Monday, police said.
The men placed an order around 4:50 a.m., said Spencer Pryor, North Charleston police public information officer. When they appeared at the pick-up window, they brandished a pistol and obtained an unknown amount of money.
Pryor said nobody inside the business at 8586 Rivers Ave. was hurt. The restaurant is near Otranto Road.
Later that morning, employees were again serving customers.

I think it's about time to get my family out of Charleston. The state for that matter. Used to be a nice area around Otranto Rd. Now I have bums living a few hundred yds. from my home, businesses all around getting held up. What a lovely city.

How is this any different from the article that was written yesterday with all of this exact same information? No need to reprint the same news.

I wouldn't have given them a dime. They're at the drive-thru! The employee just needed to duck under the window!! They would have sped off!!
Please.

Stand- What the bank would have charged them is pennies on an amount that you all would have put on the card. Not near the $1.25 they were charging. They are taking advantage of the fact that alot of people don't carry cash on them and they use their debit cards.

Is it not against the law to charge an extra fee if you use a credit card. I will look it up!
