Louis Yuhasz is founder of Louie's Kids, an after school program that teaches overweight and obese children weigh loss techniques.

Charleston-based Louie's Kids, a nonprofit dedicated to helping disadvantaged children fight obesity, is started to use its funds for a locally-based, 16-week, multi-faceted program called Fit Club.

The first one, held for a dozen kids at Mitchell Elementary School, recently wrapped up and was considered a major success by all involved.

Auja Ravenel is one of the club's success stories. the Mitchell Elementary sixth-grader lost 30 pounds in the four-month program, changed her eating habits, and even started playing the clarinet in the band again, something she gave up in the third grade.

Read more about her story and the club in Monday's editions of Your Health.
