Three men face drug charges

The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office arrested three men Thursday on crack cocaine trafficking charges and other drug-related counts.

Deputies with the Berkeley County Drug Enforcement Unit were working in the Huger area when they spotted the suspects engaged in a drug sale, said Dan Moon, public information officer for the Sheriff's Office.

Deputies seized 16.8 grams of cocaine and 24.7 grams of cocaine base with a combined street value of over $4,100, Moon said.

Marcus Broughton, 27, and Elvis Gibbs, 50, are charged with trafficking crack cocaine, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, distribution of crack cocaine and distribution of cocaine, Moon said. Leroy Stafford, 59, is charged with trafficking cocaine and trafficking crack cocaine. All three have addresses in the Huger area, Moon said.
