North Charleston Police are asking the public for a helping hand in solving a bank robbery that occurred last week.
Investigators have released photos of the suspect in the Nov. 12th bank robbery at First Citizens Bank, 5060 Dorchester Road. Spencer Pryor, police spokesman, said the hands are distinctive enough that someone may recognize the suspect.
Authorities say the suspect entered the bank around 11 a.m. wearing a thick coat, latex gloves and a woman's wig of long, black hair.
He left with a bundle of cash but dropped it in the parking lot next door. Authorities say a dye pack went off, staining a multitude of $5 and $10 bills in red.
The man gave tellers a note and never showed a weapon. He told a teller, "You know what I want. Give it to me," Pryor said, and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect left in a silver Suzuki car, though accounts differed as to whether it was a sedan or a hatchback. They said a woman was driving, but could not provide many details about her appearance.
Anyone with information about the suspects can call North Charleston police at 554-5700 or Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.

I am amazed that with all of the technology we have today that we still have cameras that are either outdated or ill-equipped to ascertain suspect's photos and information.
With all due respect, how is this photo going to help nab this person? Why not get a sketch artist to gather information from the robbery victims? It'd probably be more accurate than this photograph.

The teller in the background sure does look happy in the midst of this robbery.
