Amid layoffs, QVC hiring in Pee Dee
FLORENCE —Television shopping company QVC is bringing new jobs to South Carolina, even as the company lays off hundreds elsewhere.
The company announced on its Web site this week that it would expand a facility in Florence to a distribution center, creating 200 jobs. QVC announced earlier this week it was eliminating about 900 jobs over the next 14 months.
