Georgia, Carolinas deportations rise
Thousands of criminals to be ousted from U.S.
ATLANTA — There was a 63 percent increase in illegal immigrants deported from Georgia and the Carolinas in the 12 months ending in October, and thousands of criminals were tagged for removal from the country upon their release from prison, federal officials said Thursday.
The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Atlanta Field Office of Detention and Removal carried out a record 17,955 deportation orders, compared with 11,006 the previous year, officials said.
They were among more than 40,000 people the field office processed in the three states during the 2008 fiscal year.
They included Nai Yin Xue, a New Zealand man wanted in his homeland for the killing of his wife. He was arrested in suburban Atlanta in late February and escorted back to New Zealand in March.
Also deported was Afshin Rezaei, an Iranian living in Atlanta who pleaded guilty to exporting laptop computers to Iran through the United Arab Emirates in violation of export laws.
With help from state and local authorities, ICE said it identified 9,182 criminal aliens who were incarcerated. Georgia led the way with more than 4,700.
In addition, the agency began removal proceedings against another 7,000 criminals in state, local and federal jails and prisons, an increase from 3,722 in 2007.
The agency also said fugitive teams in the three states arrested 1,938 people who had been ordered deported by immigration judges but failed to comply.
Among them was Humberto Rodas-Diaz, a Mexican convicted of aggravated sexual battery and child molestation who had illegally re-entered the country.

For a 3 state total that isn't very many illegal's at all. They could have gotten that many here in Horry County on just the construction sites alone. When is this state going to get serious about arresting and deporting according to our new law H4400? It's a start but more needs to be done. There are an estimated 500,000 illegal aliens living in SC, let's see if more can't be done to lower that number drastically!

I'm just heartened by the fact that SOMETHING is at least being done.
Now that the ball has started rolling, perhaps ICE, federal and state law enforcement agencies can get the additional resources in which to really do their jobs.

Looks like this is going to be put to a halt. Finally get to where we want to be and the I.C.E. Director has resigned over the weekend and Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid have both stated that they are going to stop and cut down on ICE raids and arrests and Obama chimed right in and said that he was going to provide a path for all illegals to stay here and earn a way to citizenship instead of shipping them back. Thanks for excercising your right to Vote Democrats!

There are well over 10 million unemployed American workers, and that number is increasing with every passing day!!!
In the last 22 years, illegals, using forged, falsified, or stolen identities, have illegally obtained up to 8.7 million jobs; jobs that rightfully belong to Americans.
Tell your legislator to mandate E-Verify for all employees, for all employers, and for any benefit.
Americans need those jobs!!!
Report employers who employ illegals!!!

Dear Legislators,
Mandate, AND STRICTLY ENFORCE, E-Verify for ALL employers, for ALL employees, and for ANY benefit, and the I.C.E. raids, as well as all of the expemsive new detention facilities, would not be needed.
The illegals would have to begin leaving of their own accord.
Think of the economic effect of giving the 8.7 million jobs, that the illegals have illegally obtained, using forged, or stolen documents, back to Americans.
Think of the economic effect of 65 billion more dollars being spent in our United States, rather than being remitted to Mexico, and South America.
Think of the money saved by decreasing I.C.E.'s effort.
Think of it, and then let's do it!!!
BOYCOTT ANY BUSINESS THAT HIRES ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS!!!
AND LET THEM KNOW ABOUT IT!!!
DURING HARD TIMES, WE CAN HAVE AN IMPACT!!!

FACT: In the last 22 years, over 26 million illegals, have been apprehended, after crossing the border, into our United States.
THE PROBLEM IS: Less than 1, out of 4 illegals, are estimated to have been apprehended.
Mind boggling, isn't it.
According to the U.S. Immigration Service another 6 million illegals in this country are visa overstays. That is, they got a visa legally in their home country, they came here to visit and then they never left.
In the last 22 years, there have been another 4 million anchor babies born to illegals. Anchor babies are now being born at a rate of 350-400 thousand per year in our United States. All at our expense!!
Then the ANCHOR BABIES qualify for welfare, food stamps, section-8 housing, all at our expense.
American Taxpayers are getting screwed, over, and over, and over, again!!!
Each illegal immigrant, on average, costs taxpayers $9,000 PER YEAR, over, and above, anything they might contribute in taxes!!!

Buzzm1 interested to know what happened when you contacted the gov officials you listed?? I have done so myself reporting a company that admittedly hired "only illegals" and all I got was a generic letter stating the SC policy on illegals. Heck I know the policy thats why I reported the culprits.
My friend got hit last week by an illegal with no SCDL. That makes 5 people in a year I know that have been in a car accident with illegals with NO DL! People wake up! Your country doesn't let you act like this why do we let them have a second set of rules for illegals?
