Business brokers

Chappelle Manning has joined the Charleston office of Carolina BizBuySell as a business broker. He has a bachelor's degree in business administration from The Citadel.

Construction

Sean Connolly and Laura Kelley have been promoted at Rock Creek Craftsmen. Connolly is construction superintendent. Previously, he was the project manager. Kelley is assistant project manager.

Culinary

Laura Fieberg has been named executive pastry chef at The Sanctuary at Kiawah Island Golf Resort. She has a degree from The Culinary Institute of America at Greystone. Previously she was midwest regional bakery coordinator at Whole Foods.

Fitness

Sarah Braswell and Dennis Powell have joined GrandChamp Mixed Martial Arts in West Ashley as instructors.

Health care

Tim Farley has been joined Trident Medical Center as director of the critical care department. Previously he was nurse manager of the cardiothoracic intensive care unit at Duke Medical Center. He has a bachelor's degree in nursing from Southern Adventist University and a master's degree in business administration from Regis University.

Law

John A. Baden IV and Marlon E. Kimpson of Motley Rice LLC's Mount Pleasant office have been named members of the firm. Baden has a law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law and has been as a judicial intern with U.S. District Court Judge Sol Blatt Jr., and S.C. Court of Appeals Judge Jasper M. Cureton. Kimpson has a bachelor's degree from Morehouse College and a law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law. He has served as a clerk to the U.S. District Court Judge Matthew J. Perry.

Mortgage

Kevin Hammond has joined Bradford Mortgage Co. as a mortgage consultant in the Mount Pleasant office. He previously was a senior loan officer for GMAC and JP Morgan Chase Bank. He has a bachelor's degree from the University of South Carolina.

Nonprofit

Jonathan Lewellyn and Jan Parsons have been promoted at the Summerville Family YMCA. Lewellyn is branch director at the Oakbrook branch. Previously, he was senior program director with the YMCA. Parsons was promoted from director to branch director at the H.P. Compton Wellness Center.

Performing arts

Karin Bliznik has joined the Charleston Symphony Orchestra as principal trumpet. She has a bachelor's degree from Boston University and a master's degree from Northwestern University. She has performed with the London Philharmonic, the Boston Pops and the New World Symphony.

Real estate

Meghan Byrnes Weinreich has joined Charleston Trident Association of Realtors as marketing and communications manager. She has a bachelor's degree in media communications from the College of Charleston. Previously, she was public relations and marketing coordinator for Crew Carolina.

Georgiana Johnson has joined The AgentOwned Realty Co. in Summerville. Previously, she was in the military for more than 15 years.

Kim Boerman and Andrea Parler have joined Keller Williams Charleston as agents. They previously were with The AgentOwned Realty Co. Boerman has a bachelor's degree in pre-law and psychology. Parler has a bachelor's degree from the Atlanta College of Art.

Matt Hanna has joined Southern Shores Real Estate Group LLC as an agent. He has a bachelor's degree from the College of Charleston and previously worked in the insurance and freight-forwarding industries.

Jodie Hurt and Penny Jordan Fraipont have joined Exit Realty Charleston Group as agents, Hurt works from the Mount Pleasant office. She previously worked in marketing for the food and beverage industry and she has a master's in business administration in marketing from Park University. Fraipont works from the Sullivan's Island office. She previously worked in media sales.

Restaurant

Becky Ness has joined Tristan as sales and catering manager. She has a bachelor's degree from the College of Charleston, and previously worked in event design, event planning and catering sales in Charleston and Fresno, Calif.

Dominick Gallo has joined the Red Pepper Italian Eatery in Mount Pleasant as executive chef. He previously worked in the restaurant industry in New York City.

Surveying

Lee Howell, James Bagley, Cody Taylor and Scott McMillan have joined BP Barber's surveying department. Howell is a surveying manager. He previously was with 2AD. Bagley is a crew chief, and Taylor and McMillan are instrument operators.
