Bradford Henty of local band Bradford Station. The band will release a new CD 'Welcome to the World,' and has an Piccolo Spoleto performance May 30 on Bowen's Island.

It's time for another spin on the ride known as Preview's "Here, Listen To This."

This time around, our lucky passenger is Bradford Henty of local outfit Bradford Station.

Since we had Bradford trapped in a moving vehicle, we were able to get his opinion on some music. Bradford agreed, as long as we gave a little promotion for his upcoming album, "Welcome to the World," and his approaching Piccolo Spoleto May 30 performance at Bowen's Island (right before the bridge as you head to Folly Beach). Now let's make a stop in Bradford's station so we can get his take on music.

Steeler's Wheel - "Stuck In The Middle With You": This is Steeler's Wheel, right? I remember these guys. They did some pretty clever English roots music. It's rootsy blues and folk mixed together. They also knew how to mike their records. I think it was early '70s, maybe a little later. Either way, it's a good recording for it's time. I've been recording recently, so I'm hearing things a little differently right now.

Watch a video to the song that re-entered the pop universe thanks to Quentin Tarantino's "Reservoir Dogs" at www.youtube.com/watch?v=komvFIGYBYM or use the keywords "Steeler's," "Wheel" and "Stuck."

Len - "Steal My Sunshine:" (Nods) I have no idea who this is. At first, I thought it was part of the "Superbad" soundtrack then the lyrics kicked in. (Nods as he removes the headphones) Yeah, I'm not digging it too much.

The site www.youtube.com/watch?v=MwtTOxouD5Q will give you the video to this late '90s buzz cut, or use the keywords "Len" and "Sunshine."

Men At Work - "Be Good Johnny": This is the Aussie group right? I think the intro was influenced by The Who of that time period. That guy (lead singer Colin Hay) is good singer (grins). He's also got that eye that looks the other way when he sings. I guess everyone needs a gimmick.

Keywords "Men," "Work" and "Johnny" will hook you up with this pop classic or visit www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tj9SDJ5SGTM.

Grand Funk Railroad - I'm Your Captain/Closer to Home: Me and a friend played this alongside Glen Campbell's "By The time I Get To Phoenix." Grand Funk's early stuff was raw. I saw them at the County Hall. I think that may have helped start my gradual hearing loss (smiles). Some of us used to idolize them. Maybe we just didn't know better. This was a little bit before the Allman Brothers altered things for me.

A video of Grand Funk Railroad's epic hit is available at www.youtube.com/watch?v=35w_DW4CsA0, or use the keywords "Grand," "Funk" and "Captain."

Golden Earring - "Twilight Zone": This song has a nice dark mood to it. It just didn't have any good guitar leads that I wanted to steal, so I didn't pay as much attention to it when it first came out. Whereas Mark Knopfler (of Dire Straits), I absorbed all his stuff.

Watch the mini movie to this early '80s hit using the keywords "Earring," "Twilight" and "Zone," or visiting the following link: www.youtube.com/watch?v=a1sf2CzEq0w.

Hall And Oates - "She's Gone": I've never been much of a fan of their stuff .Then again, that was a beautiful record. Pretty melodic stuff.

Watch the white-hot soul duo at www.youtube.com/watch?v=vZZngTkp54I, or use the keywords "Hall," "Oates" and "Gone" to help in your search.

Emerson, Lake & Palmer - "Lucky Man": I loved this song when it came out. This is the first synthesizer solo I had ever heard. I remember listening to this at my parent's house. I was 15 and I remember my friend took me to a store. They had $1.50 records and this ELP album had a wild cover, so I had to grab it. I remember I took it home and loved it.
