Hospital executives and an array of local elected officials plan to break ground tonight at a site where Roper St. Francis Healthcare’s $143 million hospital in Mount Pleasant will be built.
The medical center, which is scheduled to open in fall of 2010, will be built off U.S. Highway 17 at the entrance to the yet-to-be-developed Carolina Park neighborhood.
The site is near Wando High School.
The ceremony is not open to the public.

The ceremony is not open to the public....
What is the purpose of announcing this if it is not open to the public? It should be made after the event.
