80 homes planned for defunct King's Grant golf course
By Warren Wise

Developer Dave Mikulski wants to build 80 houses where golfers once teed off in North Charleston.
The Dorchester County businessman hopes to start construction on the old 18-hole King's Grant golf course as soon as North Charleston signs off on the plans.
The Planning Commission voted 5-1 Monday to approve the project as long as sidewalks are added to the development.
The project will go to City Council in June, and Mikulski plans to begin the three-year project this summer, he said.
"I don't expect any hiccups," he said Tuesday.

King's Grant was such a great place to grow up. We would swim (on a great swim team), play tennis, golf, etc...Well, at least you can still swim-but that's IT. It's a shame.
