The annual Confederate Memorial Day observance will be held at 10 a.m. May 10 at the Confederate Cemetery on Carr Street between Pitt and Royall streets, in Mount Pleasant's Old Village.
Sponsored by the Confederate Memorial Association, Camp 27 of the Sons of the Confederate Veterans and the Christ Church Parish Preservation Society, the short program honors those who served in the war who were from Christ Church Parish.

Being a Yankee my advice to the south is forget about the civil war. When I was 10 yrs. old or so I got my butt whipped and have never been tempted to honor that whupping every year. The ladies in hats (can you say ugly) and the reenactors should expend their energy picking up trash on the side of the road and have something to show for their folly. "The South's gonna do it again". What...get their butts whupped?
I posted that 2 days ago. Just having a lil fun w/ my southern loved ones. "Calling all transplanted yankees...The raregar is in deep $hit, your backup is requested".
sc_native: How do you know that raregar67 is a liberal? I'm a "Yankee" and I'm a conservative Republican. I don't have a problem with southerners remembering their ancestors who fought in the Civil War, but I think you guys should show some humility. With all due respect, your pride sometimes borders on nationalism. We don't need 2 Memorial Days. We're all Americans, not Confederate Americans. Not African-Americans. Not South American-Americans. Americans. We have only one flag in this country. The American flag.

Obviously the south is better than the north because your dumb*** is still here. Go back home to your liberal thinking and your high taxes.
