Shooting suspect 'was not like this'
Girlfriend: Meds altered personality
The Post and Courier
Tuesday, May 6, 2008
The girlfriend of Russell Daniel Andrew Breaker, who's accused of gunning down a man in a West Ashley condominium Sunday, said he had a dramatic personality change after doctors altered medication he takes for his heart and blood pressure. Breaker, 22, allegedly fled the Concord West of the Ashley complex about 6:45 a.m. after shooting Michael Brock, 29, three times, according to police reports.
The Post and Courier
Russell Daniel Andrew Breaker
Charleston Police public information officer Charles Francis said Breaker was still on the run Monday evening. Elizabeth Payseur, 19, said she grew up with Breaker in West Ashley and has been going out with him for more than four years. The couple lived together in an apartment on Carriage Lane and have a child together, she said. Breaker's behavior had grown more controlling, violent and unpredictable since doctors altered his medication about a month ago, she said. He also began drinking heavily at that time, she said. His behavior change was surprising, she said. "He was not like this," she said. "He's not a mean, physically violent person. It's not in his nature." But over the past few weeks, she said, as Breaker became more unstable, she began spending some nights at her mother's condominium because she was afraid of him. Payseur said her 2-year-old daughter was at her mother's home in Hollywood at the time of the shooting. Payseur said she had spent Friday night and most of the day Saturday with Breaker. They were arguing when she went to work at Jersey Mike's on Sycamore Avenue in West Ashley at 4:30 p.m., she said. And he called her at work and continued arguing, she said. Brock was her friend and co-worker, she said. He came home with her because she told him she didn't feel safe. Brock went out on the third-floor unit's balcony to smoke about 6:45 a.m., she said. Soon afterward, Breaker kicked the door in and hit her in the face, according to the police report. Then he walked onto the balcony and shot Brock three times, she told police. "Michael didn't say one word," she said. Payseur said she's staying with family members out of state until law enforcement officers find Breaker. Greg Whitehair, who hired Breaker a few months ago to do odd jobs, said he's also shocked by the allegations. Breaker never missed work, Whitehair said. "He never even said a cuss word on the job." But then Breaker didn't come to work last Wednesday, he said. And Whitehair never heard from him again. Addah Carrigg,29, said Monday that she had been going out with Brock for the past 10 years. Brock, she said, was a loving father and an "all-around great guy."

I guess it is just easier to blame it on the doctors. Drinking heavily in combination with his medication had nothing to do with it. Jeeeeezzz!!

Brock should have armed himself in his new role as
protector for this woman. I still haven't read whether
or not he was romantically involved with Elizabeth.
Anyway, they'll find Breaker sooner or later. At least
he has good weather and nice temps to hide out in.
Booze just isn't a very good thing to lean on.

My guess is that his "behavior change" was coincidental with the medication change, but not caused by it.
Some meds can cause "crazy" changes in some folks (usually the psychotropic drugs). I've never heard of BP & heart meds having such a dramatic change, however. Also, I've never heard that these meds will drive a person to drink.
I feel for that girl, but she is in denial. I hope she can get her life on track & gains some wisdom from this experience.

I've taken BP meds for years and ,,,,,I drink so the point is ???????? Sounds like he was drinking too much with mental issues and flipped. I say they should give points on his head and all that are interested, let's a go hunting!

He is a cold blooded murdering bastard that should commit suicide as a favor for all!

I agree with you Early, I've taken 3 or 4 different blood pressure medications for 30 years and drink a lot more than I should. Never have I thought of shooting anyone. This fool and/or his ex-girlfriend are shopping for an excuse.

summerville_guy...
Why do you have to take a stab at people with "illegitimate" kids?
My daughter was born out of wedlock and LET ME TELL YOU THIS: She is not even close to illegitimate in my eyes. She is perfect in every way. And no one is going to tell me otherwise. Not my parents, not my in-laws, not my pastor, and DEFINITELY not some loser retard on a computer in Summerville.

first I am not condoning what he done. And not saying the meds could do it. But, I know from first hand experince that certain drugs can cause people to act different. My Late husband was on a drug for anxeity. and it changed him he was very easy going, never lifted a finger to me till he was given that. The doc said that it could happen.

Marianne, calm down. I never said anything about your daughter. I have no idea even who you are, so I wouldn't stoop so low as to start tossing out childish assumptions such as "loser" and "retard."
What I said was a very valid statement, and I stand by it. It seems that every time I read an article like this, there are "children born out of wedlock" involved (since you seem to have a problem with "illegitimate"). Do people not know how to not have babies? Especially criminals?
Posted by Marianne0558 on May 6, 2008 at 9:41 a.m. (Suggest removal)
You compared "illegitimate" children's parents to criminals, so yes, I stand by my statements. If you can generally call children born out of wedlock illegitimate, then I can call you a loser retard.

Date: 1536
1: not recognized as lawful offspring; specifically : born of parents not married to each other
This comes from the Merriam-Webster dictionary. Marianne, if using words in their correct sense straight from the dictionary makes me a loser retard, then I would hate to see what I would be called otherwise.

I think he did it out of anger from having to sign 4 names every time he wrote a check or used a credit card. Russell Daniel Andrew Breaker? Give me a break. i know several people have 4 names, but they usually go by the first and last. I hope he is apprehended quickly, and if found guilty, put to death. That is the only REAL issue here.
But, since Elizabeth Payseur seems to want some of the "air time" too...
Did the P&C hunt this girl down in her out of state location? You know that didn't happen. Looks like Elizabeth Payseur is cashing in on her 15 minutes of fame to me. If I was a witness to a murder, any murder, do you think I'd tell the local paper where I worked so they could print it for every nut job in the state to read? Do you think I'd make a decision to "hide" and then discuss any portion of my hiding plans with the local paper for every nut job in the state to read. This girl has some serious issues too. She's not a murderer, true, she is even a victim in this case. But she has issues. Any man that ever gets involved with her is going to have a strange life. In my non-expert opinion, I'd say that she has a really low self esteem and craves attention (be it from a man she works with, the local paper or who ever else happens to walk by) to reassure her that she is "wanted" or "needed". Damn, I did that MUCH better than Dr. Phil ever could :)
To the friends and family of Michael Brock, I am sorry for your loss. Hindsight is 20/20. He made a poor decision in getting involved with this girl. Had she approached me asking me to go to her place because she was worried about her own safety, I'd have directed her to the police department instead. I would not unnecessarily put my life on the line for a woman.... UNLESS... I was in love with her, in lust with her, or she was family. I'm all about chivalry, but in this case that would have been helping her communicate with the police and then maybe calling her a few times to ensure she was OK.

wallytown,
I'm not a doctor and I do not play one on TV. I just think that you should take notice that the medication you mentioned was for a MENTAL condition. I do not know how MOST of the anxiety/depression medications make it past the FDA. I have seen critism of the FDA for being too conservative when it comes to experimental drugs. From my observations, every anxiety/depression medication out on the market is experimental. I would not take any of that crap. I do not care how miserable my condition.
To the subject matter......
It was 6:45am. Brock went home with her after work. I have never heard of Jersey Mike's being an all night establishment. I assume Brock stayed the night. I also assume that Breaker assumed the same thing. Jealous rage?

Perhaps the Post and Courier dropped the section in Sunday's paper on what people were commenting on because most of what I read is vitriol, hateful, causing discord and contempt. Anyone who has any positive statements are ridiculed and judged as Holier than thou. Well, so many of you submit your comments which shows you words lack compassion adding fuel to the fire. You find fault with everything you read or everyone who has problems; your rip them to pieces, not knowing the full story or facts. Instead of building up and looking for the good, you consistently degrade, dehumanize and condemn those who you do not know.
NO one is perfect yet many seem to enjoy raking others over the coals.
Christ said, "by their fruits you will know them." Most of what is said on these discussion boards is nothing but bitter fruit, sometimes rotten to the core.

Just so that all of you know, family members do check on stories as well. And just so that you know, I am Liz's cousin. If this was your family that was involved, you would not want people making jokes about the situation or circumstances surrounding it. I can not believe that some people have the audacity to call her a tramp or speculate what kind of person she is. She did love Russell. That does not mean that she is condoning what he did, but like everyone else, if this was your family member or loved one that committed such a horrible act, you would want some kind of rhyme or reason to why this happened. I am just shocked at the all out disrespect that people have shown and the lack of compassion for 3 different families that are grieving (the victim, Russell's and Liz's) such a tragedy. Try to remember when you post these horrible things about people, that you do not know them.

"Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and the measure you give will be the measure you get. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye." - Matthew 7:1-5

" .. most commonly used to describe a male, while the
accepted term for a female "bastard", in both uses of
the word, is "iglet"."
People in medieval times were very much preoccupied with
family lineage and the church and these terms were coined
to deal with what people could inherit, particularly land.
The bar sinister was a mark made over a person's name to
indicate illegitimate birth as well as on the family's
crest. It had great significance back then.
Today, illegitimacy has little or no stigma as before and
people are born out of wedlock in the lower classes in
droves. It's part of the natural decay of a society.
Is it any wonder these homicides occur so frequently here
in this city where morals nearly cease to exist?
Breaker killed the man in a fit of jealousy. The marriage,
as I understand it, was a common law affair and her
paramour was the father of four illegitimate children
already. I'm having a lot of trouble drumming up sympathy
for any of these people, but I will offer my condolences
to the Brock family for their loss.
We're in a sad state these days; protect yourselves as
best you can from these people.

barefoot... I'm not saying that you don't have the right to voice your opinion; I'm just stating that opinions are exactly what these threads are all about. If someone is going to get upset at reading them, they shouldn't read. The fact that you know someone in an article does not change the fact that these threads are here for the purpose of readers posting comments about the article. Very seldom do any of us actually "know" the people involved in the stories. As in this case, very seldom do I wish to know them. That doesn't mean that I can't comment on the story and the people involved. Are my opinions always correct? No. Does that make me stupid, a jerk or an ass? No.
As for passing judgment, I'm not a religious person therefore I'm not bound by all that stuff in a bible. I have found, however, that the people that use the portion in the bible that tells them not to pass judgment are usually the worse offenders of doing so. That's OK. I see no problem with passing judgment on another person based on that person’s actions and the way they treat you and I have no problem with people passing judgment on me based on my actions and the way I treat them.
The bottom line is that it appears that Russell Daniel Andrew Breaker committed murder and, if he did, he needs to be put to death. It also appears that Elizabeth Payseur has made some poor choices in her life and, in my opinion, based on the interview... she is continuing to do so. I am thankful that Ms. Payseur was not seriously hurt. There is enough tragedy in this story already.

Allwoman and NCHeat, thank you for having some common sense. It seems like a lot of people today seem to think that having babies before marriage is inevitable, and that the only options, according to Marianne, are to have the baby or get an abortion. Marianne, dear, there is a third option, and it is to not get pregnant in the first place. There are many ways to achieve this goal...everyone can pick whichever is the best way for them.
My original intent was not to call into question anyone posting on here, because I do not know anything about any of you besides what you choose to share. My intent was just to raise the point that almost every time I hear a story involving a domestic shooting, there is a mention of a child (or children) growing up in that single-parent, violent environment. There is a reason that the traditional family model works...2 MARRIED parents are, without a doubt, the best possible situation for children to grow up with.
I am not condemning anyone, because I am far from perfect myself. And Marianne, judging by your passion in this discussion, I would assume that you do everything you can to provide for your daughter, and I applaud you for that. However, doesn't there seem to be a strong correlation between those who choose to commit crimes and the choices they make regarding bringing babies into the world, into less-than-desirable circumstances?

You all have been watching "Bastard out of Carolina" a little bit too much and the conversation about children need to be let go and gone. This child did nothing wrong, she did not pull the trigger, her daddy did. I don't care if mommy had a job at Candy Striker Stripper Store this baby is innocent!
This mother should not blame herself for what happened, she needs to blame Russell since he did it. He messed up his life, her life, his daughter's life, 3 set of families' lives, and murdered another man without saying a word. Nothing to blame but him. I'm sure his medication says do not take with alcohol and the little bottle has the warning label attached. No sympathy for Russell I do have it for Mr. Brock!

It's not like I set out to have a child, summerville_boy.
I was in fact, on birth control-as some women are who end up pregnant.
Getting pregnant is not a punishment for having sex.

ok, for one thing, why is this ENTIRE thread about illegitimate children? i, for one, can vouch for the fact that Alana was more loved than alot of children born in wedlock. She was never abused, ever. unlike alot of children born in wedlock. She is TWO YEARS OLD. so leave her the hell out of it. As for the rest of you unintelligent disrespectful people...Lizzy has been my best friend since first grade. how dare you call her a tramp! you don't know a single thing about her other than what the paper chose to print from their interview. she's been with her "baby daddy" for a long time. long before they had a daughter together. and she did love him. just seeing them together proved that. something in his demeanor changed. the entire family, and mutual friends have said that. so yes, the baby was at grandma's house so she'd be safe. lizzy was NOT at the victim's house. dont believe everything you read. he came home with her because she was scared. and her mother wouldnt have let that happen if she suspected anything bad would come from it. never would she let anything bad come to the baby's life if she could help it. honestly, dont talk if you have no idea what you're talking about. your opinions are crap with no truth behind them. i suspect most of you to be adults. act like it. this isn't highschool. quit talking crap about someone you dont know because of untruths you heard.
and NCheat? dont you dare call my mother trailer trash. i can guarantee you she's had a better upbringing and a better life than you, which is obvious. since she's defending a loved one, and you're cutting down every single positive thing any of us have to say. honestly, get over yourself. you're ignorant.

Marianne....you need to calm down girl. Haven't you figured out that guys don't really understand women as well as they think they do? Also, nobody is comparing you with this girl. Your child's father did not shoot anyone and you must be a wonderful parent to be so defensive.
I will agree some of these posts are a little "strong", but everyone has the right to post their opinion...just like you. The fact is, people have children out of wedlock everyday in this Country now. With Pro-Life being such a priority (unlike the 60's and 70's), and the couple choosing what is best for the child...not the "appearance" of the "family" involved, of course more children are going to be born out of wedlock. Birth control is only 99.9% effective and things happen.
When I was married we did not plan either one of our children. As a matter of fact, we used double birth control measures after our first child was born, and still had another one. Both children were "pill" babies, so I know about that 1%.
Don't let them get to you. Now your Mother-in-law I can't help with. I'm glad I'm not married now. Hang in there!

Thanks for the support!
I was only trying to defend the children who were born out of wedlock.
No doubt this little girl must have been loved very much and it is a shame that her family is going to be torn apart because of poor judgment.
I know all about having the baby stay at grandma's house when things go crazy too. When people are arguing/fighting, it is best to do it away from the children and obviously this girl's parents knew that or the child wouldn't have been with her grandmother.
Very sad.

The discussion has turned to one of the contributing
factors of the story .. which deals with loose morals and
the proliferation of violence associated with it. We have
a common law marriage and a father of illegitimate children
interwoven into the homicide's core. The common law wife
spends the night with the father of the illegitimate
children and incites her common law husband to shoot him.
We're examining this thing back to the roots and some of
you are taking offense at the opinions being expressed.
That's what happens in free speech; toes get stepped on.
If you're offended at the comments regarding these people,
might I suggest the comics or the sports section?

ok thats it now your stepping on my toes here
in the country here we buy MOBILE HOMES, that are almost as expensive as a regular custom built home, and have the qualities of a small home. i will have my home paid off in 7 years I bought it last year. and when finished paying for it it will have cost me $104,000.00 they are bulit like a house with the stucture almost the same with hurrican clamps on the roof as well. and most of us resent being called trailer trash because we live and choose to live in a mobile home. and i can promise you my home looks just as if not better then most home on hilton head island

Maybe instead of bashing everyone involved... it would be better to pray. God in needed in this situation more than all of the hurtful comments that people are making!!
So let me be first to say
"God, please look over all of the families that are mourning a loss in more ways than one and Lord, please help them find comfort in each other. God, most of all, I pray for all of the children that will now grow up without their father, whether it be the one who was killed or the one who may possibly have to spend the rest of his life in jail, and I pray that since they may not have their earthly father that they will recognize their heavenly Father that much more. Lord, I also pray that this tragedy will be an unfounded way for people in the situation who may not know You, to get to know the loving and forgiving God that You are. All of this I pray in Your merciful and holy name. AMEN"

Site built houses properly anchored don't tend to flip over...and brick, followed by 2x6, and real walls will stop a 2x4 from flying through at almost 200 mph in a tornado.
They are not made the same nor are they as safe...just cheaper. That is why tornado, hurricane, and other storm damage is so bad with mobile homes/trailers (pick the decade to call it what you will).
Anyway, why the conversation veered to this, I have no idea. Folks, just speak your piece on the situation and move on.

You may be right archdude, air conditioning and white tank tops do go hand in hand. I really have not idea to be sure. It's the first time I've heard (read) the term.
lola1222, please remember that "sin" is a religious term and that not everyone is religious. Have I done wrong? Yes I have. I've made mistakes and I've done things that weren't mistakes that I wish I had not done. I learned from those points in my life and hopefully I won't repeat my errors. Have I "sinned"? No. I'm not religious so it's not possible for me to "sin". Are rocks flying at me for the things I did do wrong? No. Besides occasionally exceeding the speed limit, the things I've done wrong were not criminal in nature. I've certainly never murdered another human being. I do, however, try and use a spell checker for my post. It doesn’t catch everything, but it helps and I’m sure it makes my post easier for others to read.

yep your right archdude that does happen and also the the house that are built before 1989 went floating down the road when hugo hit or the ones that the houses had to come comlpetely down because the were off the foundation we can go on and on about MOBILe HOMES VERSE REG. HOMES BUT THE POINT IS IF YOU HAVE A MOBILE HOME ITS WHAT IS IN THERE THAT COUNTS YOU CAN HAVE A 2,000,000.00 manision and be trash as well or you can live in a 80,000.00 MOBILE home and be happy family with good values as well. i owned a home in the city and moved here to a rural area for my children and feel i did the right thing we are NOT TRAILER TRASH. but for some reason because there has been a murder and a women has a child out of wedlock she is trailer trash. I bet if you knew her (and i dont ) your feelings would be different dont judge her unless you know her. or anyone who lives in a mobile home

i know you didnt call me that arch I was just stating that because a person that lives in a Mobile home doesnt make them trash and i also agreed with you that they arent as sound but some are very close if I put a foundation on mine and sink hurrican clips to the foundation I would stand a good chance as well but even when i had lived in a HOUSE i left when a hurrican came because trees have a way of coming through a roof as well. but that said I know you didnt call me trash i was just making a statement to all that think people in mobile home are trailer trash . i have been in these post with you before archdude and dont remember you ever calling people in these post names.

Your lack of religion does not change the fact that you have sinned. We have all sinned, whether we are religious or not. There are many people who do not beieve in various laws, however that does not excuse them from the law. If you're living as though there is no God, you beter hope that you are right.

My guess is that if God doesn't exist, then I will never find out. On the other hand, you may be very disappointed to find out that something does exist that you do not believe in.
I guess there may be some people who believe everything they are told, and follow "blindly" as you say. I am not one of those. I do however have a personal relationship with God. I have constantly seen his work and his blessings in my life. Congratulations on your spelling and punctuation. That and $1.00 will get you a cup of coffee.

Hey all, look for me as the last chapter of an upcoming book called "The Art of Freedom". You may also see me in the paper soon as I am repatriating a formerly lost tombstone from a ship captain from the War of 1812...formerly at the Bethel Methodist Church, moved in the 60's for a building to be built (grave still there), found when someone had it in their pickup truck getting ready to break it to fill in a hole in their yard.

Blaming this on meds and alcohol is a load of lies.

Not sure what Bush has to do with religious beliefs, but oh well...
BulldogTLC, I have not sinned. Neither have you. Have you googolyguked? That's a word I just made up. It has as much relevance to us as "sin" does to me.
See how that works? Differing religious beliefs? Oh my goodness? What the hell is THAT all about?????
If I don't believe in your god, your religion or your bible how can you force your religious beliefs on me? You can't.
Comparing law with your religious beliefs? Get over yourself.
To be perfectly honest with you, I think it would be AWESOME is there was something to look forward to after death and if there was some great being looking out for my health and welfare. To date (45 years old), I am not convinced that such a thing or entity exists.
They way I understand things, I can live life as a perfect human being, doing nothing but good my whole life, and unless I accept your god as my savior, I can't go to your heaven, right? On the other hand, I can rape, murder and molest children, but as long as I do accept your god as my savior before I die, all of my "sins" are forgiven and I can go to your heaven? This heaven, ruled by someone that allows innocent people to get killed every day, allows 7 year old girls to get kidnapped, raped and buried alive? Allows my two brothers and my sister to die from medical problems before they turn 45? Um... NO THANKS!
I've said it before and I'll say it again. I don't care what you believe. I hope your beliefs make you happy and that you find what you are seeking. DO NOT, however, think I'll keep my mouth shut when you try and force your beliefs on me. "Sin" is a purely religious word... look it up.
I'm a good person. A bit sarcastic at times and a bit over the top when expressing my opinions at times, but basically a good person. I have no idea what, if anything, will happen to me after I die. I am sure though, that it won't be bad.
For the record, I voted for Bush in both elections. I’m not happy with him, but he has done better than anything else that was running would have done (in my opinion).

Good job BulldogTLC... I would much rather beleive and have a purpose for my life rather than wander around aimlessly with nothing better to do than bash people and their friends and families. I too am a Christian and have a personal relationship with God and just because Weeeee is too ignorant to get it, does not mean that it does not exist. It is not like you (Weeeee) are an innocent child who has not ever heard of the work of God... so just so you know... the only way to salvation is through Him. So, if you were going to try to use that excuse when you are standing at the pearly gates, now it is invalid.

ColdBeer - Your last post is the best one I've seen you write. I feel the same way. (except I didn't vote for bush)
It's nice to know there's like-minded folks here.

That guy looks like total trash. The girl that had the kid sounds like skank trash. About 99% of people who have a kid between 16-22 and work at a sandwhich shop are trash. I laugh at them all when I eat lunch, because they are making my food.

I am not shoving my beliefs on you and if you choose to believe differently than me, then so be it. That it what this country is all about. However, God also allows this freedom of choice and that is what makes this world so wonderful and terrible at the same time. I too question why bad things ahppen to good people but changing my beliefs would not change the fact that it happens every day. I am far from perfect, but I have found God to be a true friend. He allows me to make my own decisions and I screw it up all the time, but he never fails to forgive me. I am sure that you are a good person and I hope that nothing bad is waiting for you after you die. However my belief is that if we do not accept God as our personal savior then there is something very bad that will happen. You don't have to agree with me and will never try to keep you from expressing your opinion. We can agree to disagree (even though I know I'm right :-) )

You're an idiot and you just proved it with the comments that you stated. I am so glad that you think that you live the perfect life, but just in case you have not noticed, no body cares about the opinions that you hold about Lizzy. She is an amazing young woman and a great mother and that is all that matters. At least she has a job and is not sitting on her ass asking for welfare. She is not trash and how dare you assume that because of her age and occupation that she is. For you to have the audacity to critisize someone that you do not even know makes me sick. What if that was your daughter or friend or mother that they were referring to. BTW, my mom had me when she was 22 and she used to work in a sandwhich shop, busting her butt to make sure that we were taken care of. Grow up and learn what tact is... just because you do not agree with her lifestyle, which you honestly know NOTHING about, other than what is in the story, does not give you the right to bash her.

Well, as I always say when the debates turn to religion:
"As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." Joshua 24:15

This is probably the most hilarious post in this comments section.
svberry, I don't believe in your 'shyte' values. If you're going to be my judge because I don't thump your same bible, by all means. I'm quite content knowing that I don't have to thump your bible to enjoy my life.
ColdBeer, the sad thing about my post is I actually voted for Bush too. He may be the worst pres ever but I doubt Kerry could've done better. This is my perception of Kerry's whole campaign message. It's a lot like Obama's. "My fellow Americans, I have a plan. Thank you." Obama's only differs by adding a few words. "My fellow Americans, I have a plan of hope and change. Thank you."

The last guy is just a troll looking to start trouble.
As I said svberry, I hope your beliefs make you happy. I see that you won't extend that same kindness to those that don't believe as you do... odd, considering your supposed beliefs. As for the pearly gates.. I think I already mentioned... I'm not interested. I'm not much of an aimless wanderer. I stay pretty busy most of the time... and VERY happy :)
Barefoot, I never once bashed on Elizabeth Payseur. I did say that it sounds as if she has made some bad decisions. That's not exactly bashing. I think you'd agree that a young single moms work location is not something that should be run in the paper for any lunatic on the street to read. That was my original post. I voice my opinions in a somewhat brunt manner sometimes, but she is a victim in this and it was not my intent to "bash" her. If she were my daughter, I would pull her aside and say "What the hell are you thinking? I don't want all of these people knowing all of this information about you!" That was all I was trying to say.

So the main topic of the story is that he was induced on medication that he suddenly showed a drastic change in emotion, and murdered another human being. However, moments later, the story tells us that he has now fled from the scene. I do not understand how one moment you can be totally in-coherent with the rest of the world and pull a gun on someone and shoot them three times, say it was the medicine, and then the next moment you are fleeing because you know you just killed someone. The law should not let criminals pick the times that they are off their rocker or temporarily insane or whatever. I don't buy the whole medicine stuff. I am assuming he showed up to the apartment with the gun, which means he had the intent to do harm before he knocked on the door.

ColdBeer...I'm sorry. You have had some tough spots in your life. You have obviously worked hard and had some success. You apparently have not had other things work out the way you would have liked them to have. Know what, the same has happened to me. Happens every day, I don't get my wish. I don't get my way.
But, you know some days it goes the other way. Some days we see the beauty of life, the miricles that do happen. On those days we rejoice. But, I thank God every day that I'm still drawing a breath...for the good and bad.
You are right, you don't have to believe in our God or their God. But, you have a "God" you worship....happiness, wealth, material things, your family, fishing, cars, whatever that thing is that is most important in your life, that is your "God". Bless you. I'd like to know you personally.

Some people are clueless as to how medications can affect behavior. Even causing a person to go from calm to violent in seconds. Tisk Tisk.

ok...first off...all these news articles are incorrect due to the fact I'm a friend of both lizzy (elizabeth) and russell. I've known them for 12 years and they have been together for 4 years and yes they have a beautiful 2 year old daughter going on 3. But I talked to lizzy the day it happened and the story she told me does not match up to the stories that the news & the papers are stating. First they were going to get married & lizzy postponed it back last june so the story of the ex wife deal is not true. second she has been with russell for the past week up until saturday night when she decided to stay with her mother. The next morning she had micheal brok over because she claimed she was scared of russell because he was intoxicated. But who knows what made him flip maybe seeing his long time girlfriend of 4 years caught in the act is one. I've known russell long enough to know that if the guy was just a friend russell would of never acted the way he did. Lizzy's always had guy friends which russell has befriended himself so that's that. I've just been reading these horrible comments that people seem to have no life and not enough drama in there own lives they get on here and run their mouths. I'm not on here to help no one just stating facts that I believe people should know first before pointing fingers and making stories. No being under the influence is not an excuse but some meds do alter your mind and make you do and think different. but no one actually knows what happened and no one will ever know. and I'm sure since I've already seen it happen someone's going to respond to this saying something about keep out or we don't need your advice well you know get over it and get a life. I'm gonna say what I want and I will. So if you don't like what I'm saying don't read it and don't worry about it. I just think you people need to get a life and stop acting stupid talking about going hunting to shoot him down and he needs to be put down come on people what does that say about you? all I know is you don't know the story or what led up to it and who these people are. Russell was never like this and lizzy and him have always had a hard relationship because of her always being frisky with other men. She basically drove him crazy and you know what no one can save anyone now so stop talking about it and quit putting people down who you have no idea who they are and why they do things. Just do all of us meaning his friends and family a favor and keep your comments to yourself.

well I'm glad someone has taken my name...well I'm happy that someone finally gets on here and sets these people straight...but I somehow differ from your opinion "copycat" babycakes11...Lizzy and Russell didnt have a hard relationship as you say and Lizzy was never frisky with other guys...So just needed to fix that one!...however I do think that the people on here who leave such horrible nasty comments towards them need to shut their mouths because first of all you don't know them and you never will and second you don't know the whole story because you were not there...and another that is my family your talking bad about and I don't see where you people get off saying this kind of stuff...Like gunning him down like a fox I mean who in their right mind feels good about themselves saying that?...yes it's a horrible situation but that does not mean it's right to bash them...Yes they have been together for 4 years and yes they were never married but that does not mean they can't have children...there is no law saying they can't...my niece is a beautiful happy little girl who was a miracle for them both...they are both great parents despite the fact that they are young and not married...& summerville guy you need to get a life...who are you to judge anyone?...who are any of you to judge anyone? and carolinagirl22 I'm so happy someone else sticks up for lizzy and russell because we know how they really are...no this is not like russell to do this but something has changed with him because of his meds...& yes meds can change a person and no it's not an excuse but it's true...so before anyone judges them or even russell you need to get your facts correct...I'm sick of reading these comments...people like ya'll disgust me beyond belief...& I can't even believe people have nothing better to do then sit on here all day and do this...I do feel bad for the micheal brok guy no I don't know what exactly happened but all I know is my brother is not like that and it's not in his nature to do things like this...it was just the wrong place and the wrong time...I feel for the family of micheal but I also stick with my family and no matter what they do I will never judge them and your right I will forever stick up for them...You people should be ashamed for the stuff your saying because you need to give the families a right to cope with this kind of stuff...but of course all day today you seemed to jump fast on here to point fingers and name call...it's pathetic...
& yes I know everyone has there own opinion but really for the sake of the families keep them to yourselves....

So it seems that babycakes11 and Babycakes have read all of the comments from people who they feel had nothing better to do than to sit in front of their PC and type on this board. Well, it seems that the two of them had nothing better to do during the time they decided to sit down and read and then respond to those same comments that they found so disgusting and uncalled for. Saying that people they don't know shouldn't judge the people that they (the bloggers) don't know. Judging the way they spend their day and the opinions they have on the article that was written and the type of people they must be to say the things they say. Sounds like a bit of hypocrisy to me.
Don't get me wrong, I had nothing bad to say about any of the people involved. My only hope was that they catch Russell and punish him to fullest extent of the law. No hate in that wish. He killed someone and should be punished.
