THINK CRE@TIVE! WORKSHOP: A two-hour workshop for youths and adults who desire to live life to its fullest potential through creative thinking. Led by Octavia Jackson and Jaha Knight, co-hosts of the Jackson Knight Radio Show on Heaven 1390-AM. North Charleston Cultural and Civic Center, Hobson Ave. (former Charleston Naval Base.) 4:30-6:30 p.m.

GOSPEL SHOWCASE: Local and regional performing artists, gospel groups and choirs will share their music and praise with the Lowcountry. Tanger Outlet Mall. 5-7 p.m.

AN OLD-FASHIONed SOCK HOP: Original members of the favorite local group The Loafers will re-create the Park Circle Teen Club of the '50s and '60s. Felix Davis Community Center Auditorium at Park Circle. 7-9 p.m.

SHADOW PUPPET PLAY: Geoffrey Cormier, formerly with Jim Henson Co., and Wayang Modern Theater produce "Green - The World is a Basket," a fresh and topical interpretation of the ancient Indonesian shadow puppet theater for modern, adult audiences. The Meeting Place, 1077 E. Montague Ave. 8 p.m. $7 in advance, $10 at the door.

CELTIC MUSIC CONCERT: Inverness, a talented duo of professional musicians delight audiences of all ages with Celtic melodies on traditional instruments. St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 1150 East Montague Ave. 7-8 p.m.

CONTEMPORARY GOSPEL MUSIC CONCERT: An elegant night filled with praise and worship will feature nationally acclaimed gospel recording artist, Smokie Norful. Tia Brewer-Footman and Gerald Footman host the annual Grace Icon Awards and Grace Magazine. North Charleston Performing Arts Center Auditorium. 7 p.m. $20.
