Boys' First Team

A.J. Green, Summerville

Height: 6-4. Class: Senior. Position: Guard/Forward.

ABOUT GREEN: The two-time Lowcountry player of the year capped a brilliant career by leading the Green Wave to the Class AAAA state championship. Green, who was selected to play in the Carolinas Classic, averaged 22 points and 9.0 rebounds for the season after averaging 20 points and 9.2 rebounds his junior year.

Milton Jennings, Pinewood Prep

Height: 6-9. Class: Junior. Position: Center.

ABOUT JENNINGS: Considered to be one of the top 40 juniors in the country. Jennings averaged 18.9 points, 10.6 rebounds and 4.2 blocked shots per game. He hit 50 percent from the field, 72 percent from the foul line, and was a threat from behind the arc, hitting 59 3-pointers.

Khris Middleton, Porter-Gaud

Height: 6-7. Class: Junior. Position: Forward/Guard.

ABOUT MIDDLETON: Developed his skills over the summer in AAU basketball. Averaged 21 points, 8.0 rebounds from his wing position. The two-year starter should be highly recruited next season. He has interest from more than 40 Division I schools.

Del'Javon Simmons, Burke

Height: 5-9. Class: Sophomore. Position: Guard.

ABOUT SIMMONS: Helped the Bulldogs to their first state championship appearance since 1992. Simmons averaged 15.5 points, 6.8 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 3.2 steals per game to earn All-Region 6-AA and all-state honors.

Philip Jenkins, Goose Creek

Height: 5-11. Class: Junior. Position: Forward.

ABOUT JENKINS: Named MVP of the Modie Risher Classic and made the all-tournament team at the Porter-Gaud Classic during the holidays. The All-Region 7-AAAA and all-state selection averaged 17.1 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.7 steals per game.



Girls' First Team

Branshea Brown, Colleton County

Height: 6-3. Class: Senior. Position: Center

ABOUT BROWN: Two-time player of the year caps a career that includes more than 1,400 points and more than 1,200 rebounds. Brown, a two-time all-state selection and four-time all-region pick, averaged 14.8 points, 15.3 rebounds, 4.1 steals and 4.8 blocks per game.

Kayla Carter, North Charleston

Height: 5-8. Class: Junior. Position: Guard

ABOUT CARTER: A three-year starter, Carter averaged 26.7 points, 6.0 rebounds and three assist per game to lead the Cougars to their third straight Lower State championship appearance. Carter was the Region 7-AAA player of the year and was nominated for the Class AAA state player of the year honors.

Mallory Molony, Bishop England

Height: 5-11. Class: Sophomore. Position: Guard/Forward

ABOUT MOLONY: Shot 49 percent from the field and 70 percent at the foul line to average 16.1 points per game. Region 6-AA player of the year and all-state selection also averaged 9.5 rebounds and 3.0 steals per game. She has already topped 1,000 points and 500 rebounds.

Alexandra Fuller, Hilton Head Prep

Height: 5-7. Class: Senior. Position: Guard.

ABOUT FULLER: Helped her team win its fourth straight SCISA state championship. She averaged 20.3 points, 3.3 assists and 2.6 rebounds per game. She set school records in single-game points (42), single-season points (646) and career scoring (2,080).

LeRonna Drayton, Baptist Hill

Height: 5-7. Class: Senior. Position: Guard

ABOUT DRAYTON: The five-time varsity letter winner and three-time Region 6-A all-star was in the top 10 in scoring in the state, averaging 22.2 points per game. She also earned all-state honors this season.
