--Cripple Dog Hot Rods will host its first show of the year at Buffalo South, Folly Road on James Island. The Car & Bike show will have live bands, food and the Cripple Dog Girls. Public admission is $5. Registration, which is $20, starts at noon. The show is 5-8 p.m. There are 21 classes and 71 trophies. Visit www.crippledog.com.

--Palmetto Chevelles & El Camino Car Club of South Carolina will hold its monthly meeting 7-8 p.m. at the president's home. Anyone with a 1964-87 Chevelle-Malibu (Laguna), 1959-87 El Camino (GMC-Sprints) and enthusiasts are invited. Contact Mike Smith at 761-7333 in the evening. Call for directions and RSVP.
April 2
--Bessinger's BBQ, 1602 Savannah Highway, will hold a Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show 6-9 p.m. Registration is $5. There will be three trophies per class. Divisions include years 1900-42, 1943-59, 1960-71 and 1972-08; street rods, trucks and motorcycles. Music by the Cruise-O-Matics. Shows will be held the first Wednesday of the month through November. April 4-5
--Tom Mack Classics and Lowe's Motor Speedway will present an Auction & AutoFair at the speedway off Interstate 85 at Exit 49 near Charlotte. The event opens at 2 p.m. Friday and at 11 a.m. Saturday. Up to 300 cars will be shown. Featured are cars from the Carolinas, antiques, muscle cars, national show winners, Southern pickups and vehicles from auto dealership owner Paul Duncan's The Duncan Collection. There is a reserve consignment fee of $249 and a no-reserve fee of $99. A memorabilia auction will take place 10:30 a.m. Saturday. For a list of cars, call Tom Mack Classics at 1-888-866-6225. April 5
--The Southern Drag Racing Association will hold its 24th annual Car Show 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at Texas Roadhouse and Super Kmart parking lot, 8571 Rivers Ave., North Charleston. Association members will have a car show preview 7-10 p.m. April 4 at Hooters Restaurant. Models include race cars, junior dragsters and street cars. Music, prizes. Admission is free. Rain date is April 6. All proceeds will be donated to Happy Days and Special Times, "Kids Kickin Cancer." Contact Linda Hood at 565-4550.
April 9
--A Classic Cruise-In sponsored by Lowcountry Mopars will be held 6-8:30 p.m. at Ryan's Restaurant on U.S. Highway 17A, Summerville. Classes include trucks, Corvettes, Mustangs, street rods and years 1900-63, 1964-74 and 1975-08. Entry fee is $5 per vehicle. Contact Betty Harris at 797-3246 for more information.
April 12
--Trident Technical College will host the 17th Spring Spin Off car show 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the college's main campus on Rivers Avenue. Call Robert at 574-6186 or Pete at 574-6184.
April 19
--The first "Vettes Doin' Charleston" all-Corvette show, presented by the Coastal Carolina Corvette Club, will be 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Tanger Outlet parking lot on International Boulevard. Registration up to April 5 is $15; thereafter, including 10 a.m.-noon on the show date, is $20. There will be dash plaques and a poker walk. Classes are years 1953-62, 1963-67, 1968-82, 1984-90, 1991-96, 1997-00, 2001-04 and 2005-08; pace cars and ZR-1s for all years.
