Army Reserve honors business
Staff report
Wednesday, March 26, 2008
The U.S. Army Reserve recognized a Charleston business Tuesday for its support of an employee deployed in Iraq.
Mike Goss and Gary Pike, managers of Consolidated Electrical Distributors, were pre- sented the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve "Extra-ordinary Patriot Partner" award for their support of employee and Army Reserve Master Sgt. John Sookikian of Summerville.
The company supported him while he was away on active duty by sending care packages to him and his troops and by maintaining contact with his family.
It also assisted Sookikian with a toy and clothing drive for Iraqi children.
