Suspect shot after police dog stabbed
Saturday, March 22, 2008
GREENVILLE — Authorities said a man was shot by deputies after he stabbed a police dog, then threatened the deputies with the knife.
Authorities said purse-snatching suspect Jerry Davis, 34, ran before officers could arrest him, and the police dog pursued.
Davis allegedly stabbed the dog several times once it caught him, then threatened deputies.
Davis is expected to survive.
Authorities said the police dog, a 3-year-old German shepherd, underwent surgery and also is expected to survive.

Should of just shot him. Of course, if the officer had done this then the bleeding hearts would have screamed about it.

I'm glad the police dog is going to be ok. I'm sure I'm going to get flamed for this, but I'm sorry the perp is going to be ok. He will get charged with assault, right?

"Davis is expected to survive"
If the bullet wound doesn't kill him, the dog's rabies will. Some of those cop dogs aren't really trained just starving wild animals that think they have to chase down a meal...

Police Dogs are a great asset to law enforcement..No Matter how many times you tell the perps to stop or come out they don't..But when a Dog barks the orders they usually give up.. I hope the dog is Ok..
