June special events Moonlight Mixer: Join shaggers at the Folly Beach Fishing Pier on June 27 for a Moonlight Mixer. Headlining will be DJ Rob Duren. Food and beverages will be available for purchase at Locklear's Beach City Grill and the pier gift shop. Event hours are 7-11 p.m. Tickets purchased in advance are $8 for Charleston County residents and $10 for noncounty residents. Tickets purchased at the gate are $10. Advance tickets may be purchased at Charleston County parks headquarters or at www.ccprc.com. June programs Map and Compass Basics: Introduction to GPS. Global Positioning Systems are tools used to stay "found" in the wilderness. Learn basics before experiencing a GPS-guided course in your county park. Preregistration required. CCPRC headquarters. 18 and up. $48/$40 CCR discount. 10 a.m.-3 p.m. June 28. |
