Citadel cadets will likely pay 9 percent more for tuition next year after a Board of Visitors' committee Friday approved the jump.
The full board will vote Saturday on the committee's recommendation.
Under the plan, tuition for in-state students next year will be $8,428. That's up from $7,735 this year.
Tuition for cadets who live outside of South Carolina also will increase 9 percent. If the plan is approved, out-of-state students will pay $21,031 for tuition next year, up from $19,291 this year.
