Bauer says he'd put up money for tags

Friday, June 13, 2008

COLUMBIA - Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer said Thursday he is willing to put up $4,000 of his own money so South Carolina can become the first state to issue 'I Believe' license plates.

Gov. Mark Sanford allowed the license plate bill to become law without his signature, noting the state already has a process to allow special plates for any cause as long as enough people come together and put up the money needed to buy them. Bauer said he is willing to put up the money, then get reimbursed. The state must collect a $4,000 deposit or 400 prepaid orders.

Bauer - Who the hell is supposed to reimburse you? The taxpayer which is me?! You want that tag then take the money from your pocket and shove it up yours.

You just guaranteed a NO vote from me next time you run for ANY office.

if this is the case, why do these boneheads need to make a law?

I want to thank Lt. Bauer for supporting these new Safety plates. I'm happy that I'll now know who to avoid when the rapture comes. All those driver-less cars could create a serious traffic issue.

Pay $4000 or get 400 people to pay for a tag and get whatever you want. Otherwise, shut up and get over it, these tags don't cost anybody a dime unless you put one on your car.

Yes Shut up. You are not allowed to criticize questionable decisions, especially when the one true religion is involved.

Hey CHRISJIII

Maybe the governor can assign him a job in the state janitorial service. That's about the only level of government he's qualified for.

Who are we to judge the religious beliefs of Baur, or anybody for that matter. No one really knows what's in someone else's heart. Calling someone a fake Christian is just wrong.

Says the person that was telling everyone to shut up.

And these tags do and did cost everyone in this state. It costs us the time it took away from those representatives in Columbia not addressing the real issues we have here.

So tell me, you already have the "In God We Trust" plates. So are these new "I Believe" plates for those that don't trust in god?

Those plates, & other displays of this type, are not for the ppl reading them, they are for the person who buys them. People that feel the need to have their personal spiritual beliefs plastered all over everything are emotionally insecure.
BTW, 'In Reason We Trust' tags are available.

Mouth of the South 's poor understanding of how the world evolves is idiotic. This is caused by bad leadership over his poor pathetic life. Son you need to explore the globe, SC is not the center of the universe. I am from this state, and I realize that we are not getting it right. I want the best, and we should demand it.
