North Charleston police said Wednesday there might be more suspects who haven't been identified in a string of robberies this spring.

Meanwhile, Joshua Andrew Monroe, 19, of Cindy Lane in North Charleston remains at large on a charge of kidnapping in connection with Monday's attempted robbery at the Chuck E. Cheese on Rivers Avenue.

Police this week also arrested two other men, bringing the number of suspects to three. But there were four suspects in at least one robbery May 10 at Frankie's Fun Park on Ashley Phosphate Road.

"The investigation is ongoing, and additional suspects could be implicated," said Spencer Pryor, police public information officer.

Robbers followed a restaurant employee home from work after closing time Monday, kidnapped him and took him back to the restaurant, where they stunned him with a stun gun and threatened his life. They left him tied up when he couldn't open the safe.

Police on Tuesday said they arrested Bryan Mulligan, 19, of Charleston, and Corey Larkin, 18, of North Charleston. They were denied bail Tuesday on charges of kidnapping, second-degree burglary and attempted armed robbery in the Chuck E. Cheese incident.

Police said the men are suspects in a string of robberies, including the Applebee's on Rivers Avenue on April 28, the Applebee's on Ashley Phosphate Road on May 14 and the Noisy Oyster on Rivers Avenue on May 25. Investigators believe one or more of the suspects are also responsible for the March 23 robbery of the Red Lobster on Mall Drive.

At the Noisy Oyster, two employees were made to strip, and one woman was sexually assaulted.

Most of the robberies were similar in that the suspects wore black and came from hiding in bushes as employees were leaving for the night.

To provide information about the robberies, call North Charleston police at 554-5700 or Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.

You can run, but you can't hide. I can't wait until they find the other suspects. My prayers continue to go out to the victims and their families.

Unfortunately a death sentence can't be rendered in a robbery conviction. But whatever the maximum sentence is for these crimes, that's exactly what these sewage rats should get.

I hope that the victims in these crimes are able to heal and move forward with their lives.
