Obama sets up shop in S.C.
COLUMBIA — Sen. Barack Obama's presidential campaign is taking shape in South Carolina, recruiting volunteers it hopes will help deliver a state that has backed GOP presidential candidates since 1980.
More than 50 supporters munched chips and pretzels, sipped sweet tea and signed up for tasks Tuesday night at the state Democratic Party headquarters for Obama's Campaign for Change.
It's the first substantial volunteer effort in South Carolina by the presumptive Democratic nominee since he won the primary here. Obama supporters say the campaign organizing will make sure that Republican Sen. John McCain cannot take for granted support in South Carolina, which hasn't swung Democrat in a White House race since Jimmy Carter beat Gerald Ford with 56 percent of the state's vote in 1976.

I agree Hussein O'Bama is Carter redux, just more to the left. I'm not anti black, half black, Mexican, or female candidates but this man is a socialist who will harm our beautiful nation. He's ahead in the pols now, but when folks get alone behind that curtain (sp) O'Bamy the democrat commie is doomed.

I am shocked, change, at the post above, change. I am setting up an office, change, here in the great state of South Carolina because the demographics, change, show that I will have a large backing here. South Carolina ranks at the very bottom, change, of all educational ranking. I do very well in areas of low intelligence, change. South Carolina also ranks, change, very high in crime. My position that we treat criminals, change, too rough is widely known. I do, change, well in areas full of criminals. While not truly a Christian, I have been able to convince, change, the gullible that I am, in fact, a Christian. South, change, Carolina has a high density of gullible people.
The negative, change, post will noty deter my supporters from voting for me!

Lincoln had very little experience when he went into office, in fact, some the best experienced leaders were the best president (according to historians).

Lincoln almost lost the war for the northern states due to his lack of experence. The number of times he had to change Generals to find someone who had some brains was criminal.
The vast numbers of americans who died in American during this time was awful. You want to give Uncle Tom Obama a chance to repeat this?
