DMV outsourcing some calls

COLUMBIA The state Department of Motor Vehicles wants to save money on customer calls, so the agency is turning to a familiar practice these days — outsourcing. The difference is, the agency is using a company based in the Columbia area to bring employees into the DMV headquarters in Blythewood. A portion of the approximately 630,000 calls the agency receives will be handled by MV Solutions Inc.'s workers. The move will cut in half the time and cost of each call, officials said. Read tomorrow's editions of The Post and Courier for more on the story.

at least they're not sending them to India, so when we call and talk to "Charles" it's really Surpeep Patel on his camel
"press the red dot on my forehead for customer service"

I agree. Chuck- Minus my last call for Customer support took me to India then after about ten minutes of telling him my name and problem. I was then transfered to another agent in the US and given the colution in about 2 minutes. I wish they wouldn't outsource but I guess the "ole bottom line" and profit it all mighty.

Who is MV Solutions Inc and who are their representatives? Who with DMV lobbied for this and visa versa? What is the contract worth? Who authorized it? Who spent time researching it? Are their family or friend connections with State employees or elected representatives and MV Solutions? Do any of them play gold together or have?
