Driver dead after SUV crashes into house in N. Charleston
Gunfire reported before crash

A man was found dead early this morning after his GMC Jimmy crashed into a home, North Charleston Police spokesman Spencer Pryor said.
Officers responded to 2758 Ranger Drive at 12:30 a.m. Saturday in reference to shots being fired and a vehicle running into a house. When they arrived, officers found a black GMC Jimmy against the house a man in the driver's seat. The driver was later pronounced dead.
Preliminary investigation indicates that the driver was shot somewhere in the area of Constitution Avenue and crashed the vehicle later on Ranger Drive, Pryor said in a news release.
Police have no motive or suspect at this time and the incident is under investigation.
