Authorities are investigating two bank robberies that happened within an hour of each other Friday and may have been carried out by the same team.

The Dorchester County Sheriff's Office is looking for a man and woman suspected of robbing a bank in Ridgeville and a female suspected of robbing a bank in Harleyville.

Sheriff's deputies are assisting Ridgeville police to search for a white man and a black woman who ran from Enterprise Bank of South Carolina after it was held up shortly after 11 a.m., sheriff's 1st Sgt. Michael Miller said. The bank is at 102 Main St.

Dorchester County investigators learned from witnesses that a tall white man in his 20s entered the bank and demanded money. He appeared to have a black female accomplice who helped him get away.

Witnesses told investigators the man was about 6 feet tall, was wearing a striped light-colored button-down shirt and has a round face with short hair and metal-rimmed glasses. He left the bank on foot.

About 40 minutes later, while county officers were still gathering evidence from the Ridgeville bank, Dorchester County received a report that the South Carolina Bank and Trust at 122 W. Main St. in Harleyville had just been robbed by a black woman who came in demanding money.

"We think they're probably connected," Miller said. "The timeline would lead us to believe that they could be done by the same people."

The banks are about 15 miles apart.

The female robber was described as wearing a ball cap with letters on it, a blue shirt and sunglasses.

County investigators believe that a brown, late-model sedan with four doors seen in the area at the time of the robbery was involved.

No one was injured during either robbery. The Dorchester Sheriff's Office is leading the investigation on the Ridge-ville robbery and is assisting the Harleyville Police Department with the second one.

^What an idiot!!!!^

Banks need to do like Southeast Bank has done.
Install a double door entrance that's lockable from the teller stations. Bank robbers may come in but, they won't be able to get out

This article is about a WHITE man and a BLACK woman committing robberies, not just a BLACK person. The NAACP or the flag has nothing to with article. I guess when there is an article about ice cream, some posters here will only talk about chocolate. Grow up little people.

It's not racist at all... where is this flag comment coming from? And if you are SO concerned about it being "racist" along with everyone else who thinks so... quit saying that black people are commiting crimes because of a flag.

If they are tired of being pointed out when they do a crime.. wouldn't they stop?

Seems to me they like the attention if they keep doing it. White people get into as much trouble as blacks. You might not think so but they do. Just because there are MORE blacks doing the crime, doesn't mean it has anything to do with race.

Tell your fellow people to quit and then they won't be getting into trouble. Besides with the legal system here I'm sure they can't be getting into TOO much trouble!

Whatever... here is a simple solution to everything:

Whatever problems whites, blacks, hispanics, europeans, asian, etc people have with each other, get over it. The only place it's getting us is in more and more trouble.

If you complain about the confederate flag have you looked at the Jamacian flag? It looks JUST like the confederate flag. Granted it has different colors and there aren't any stars, it looks JUST like the confederate flag. Besides, I'm assuming you live in the US... if you look around here, some people will actually put stars on that flag to make it REALLY look like they are sort of mocking the confederate flag.

So it's not just white people that are "antoginizing"... it's everyone so there really is no need for you, RW, to come on here and explain to us how the NAACP works on an article that isn't even related to the NAACP. It doesn't mention the flag nor that group.
