Faulty dishwasher caused Erskine fire

Thursday, July 17, 2008

GREENVILLE — The president of Erskine College said a faulty dishwasher apparently caused a fire that heavily damaged the dining hall at the school in Due West.

Erskine President Randall Ruble said the State Law Enforcement Division, local fire officials and the school's insurer agree on the cause of the July 10 fire, which extensively damaged Moffat Dining Hall.

Ruble told The Greenville News some of the 80 summer school students and military chaplains studying for doctorates are temporarily being fed at Dixie High School.

He said two firefighters were treated for heat exhaustion.

Wow, that's two strikes against this guy! First of all, he's an arsonist and secondly he sucks at washing dishes.
