Watchdog investigates: contaminated gasoline

A local woman says she received gasoline contaminated with water at a downtown service station. The company that owns the station says its tanks are clean, but it plans to reimburse the woman for her $460 car repair bill. A lab test by the state Department of Agriculture is not complete. A Post and Courier Watchdog investigation found that water can get into vehicle and gas station storage tanks. Read more in tomorrow's editions.

I thought everyone has seen the bogus ads that cars can now run on water. These ads have started popping up since gas prices soared. A few weeks ago on talkback on Channel 5 a caller endorsed such crap saying that it works.
