MUSC programs among best in U.S.
Monday, July 14, 2008
U.S. News & World Report has ranked Medical University of South Carolina's gastrointestinal, nephrology and rheumatology programs among the best in the country.
The magazine reviewed data from 5,453 hospitals and selected 170 medical centers in 16 specialty areas. The rankings will be published in the July 23 issue.
For the 12th consecutive year, MUSC's gastrointestinal disorders made the list, this year ranking 19th in the nation. Kidney disease ranked for the first time at No. 44. In a special category based solely on national reputation, MUSC's rheumatology division placed 19th.
