Rec report
Notification method changed by MPRD
The Mount Pleasant Recreation Department is making changes to its systems for communicating information to patrons about rained-out games and activities by eliminating its previously used hotline and adding other methods of notification.
MPRD will continue updating the department's Rainout Web page at www.mtpleasantrec.com with pertinent information, as well as encouraging patrons to sign up for a notification service from the Web site www.RainedOut.com.
With the independently run RainedOut.com, participants can register to receive free e-mail as well as cell phone text message alerts any time an MPRD activity or game has been canceled or delayed due to rain.
Participants may sign up to receive alerts about a specific area of interest. For example, patrons may choose to receive alerts about MPRD soccer game cancellations only, or about MPRD soccer, tennis, baseball and more.
For more information on signing up to receive MPRD rainout information at www.RainedOut.com, pick up a flier on the service at any MPRD facility or visit http://www.mtpleasantrec.com/downloads/rainedout.pdf.
