Charleston's finest will meet face to face with the city's bravest Saturday afternoon at The Joe in a softball match to raise money for two families affected by cancer. "The Finest vs. The Bravest," pits police officers against firefighters at 5 p.m. before the RiverDogs game against the West Virginia Power. The $6 admission fee lets visitors in for both games, and money raised will be split between the families of the late Fire Department Capt. Ronnie Campbell and police Sgt. John Reeves. Campbell, a 30-year Charleston firefighter, died in May of esophageal cancer. Reeves' wife, Ramey Reeves, is battling brain cancer. The two teams are practicing this week and talking trash about each other. It's all in fun and for a good cause, they said. Read more in Wednesday's editions of The Post and Courier.
