Sanford: VP rumors 'flattering,' 'kind'
South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford told ETV that all the talk about him being a possible vice presidential pick of Arizona Sen. John McCain is "somewhat surreal."
"It's flattering, it's kind. And it's not something I'm losing a whole lot of sleep over. I think that we have an incredibly busy job at hand," Sanford told "The Big Picture" host Andrew Gobeil. "If something like that comes, it's a lightning strike and you worry about (it) when it gets there. But there aren't a lot of lightning strikes this time of year — they generally come around summer. So, it's just not something that's on my radar screen."
When Gobeil told Sanford some pundits think he might get the nod from McCain, in part because of his cheerful demeanor, Sanford said, "You know, demeanor is always in the eye of the beholder. ... You have some folks upstairs (in the General Assembly) — they might have a different take on demeanor."

Our fine Governor should stay with us and fix our state and then run for the Presidency when his term is about over. The federal government is beyond help and our state is almost beyond help, stay here Governor Sanford and straighten these political bacon bums out and fix our state.

Our Govenor has no power in this current governing system in SC. He might help get the federal gov back on track. Really I thought McCain would pick his bun boy Graham. He better because he will not be a senator long.
