Staff report
Sunday, February 10, 2008

North Charleston police arrested a Hollywood man on charges of sexually assaulting three girls and hanging a boy upside down in a locked closet.

Theodore Cobbs, 36, of Moss Hill Road, was being held Saturday at the Charleston County Detention Center on seven charges ranging from unlawful conduct toward a child to criminal sexual conduct with a minor. Bail was set at $385,000.

After a bond hearing, Cobb's lawyer, Eduardo Curry, asked "people to withhold judgement until all the facts are heard."

The charges stem from incidents that took place in North Charleston between 1994 and 2002.

Arrest warrants charge Cobb with sexually assaulting one girl numerous times beginning at age nine. A second girl was sexually assaulted when she was 11 and 12 years old, and a third was sexually assaulted when she was 10, warrants state.

Another warrant charges Cobb with hanging a boy upside down in a closet in the late 1990s. The boy was between 5 and 10 at the time, the warrant said.

This is the most dipicable act that any human being can do to a child as far as I am concerned. What human garbage this guy is!! What took so long, and why? We as a society have no idea what goes on in homes all over the country, and I am not sure that I want to know, but the ones here and there that they do catch should never get out of jail, and castrating him is not the answer. The problem is in the brain, and they will find other ways to commit their nasty crimes!! Lobotomy comes to mind!!

candygirl that's not true... it just seems like it because the whites outnumber the others

if your races population outnumbers another race then your crime percentage should outnumber it by the same percentage if things were actually equally done throughout races

unfortunately we know that to not be true, some races do commit some crimes more than others but you first have to break it down into percentages to see who actually does the most of which crime

and that in itself paints a whole new picture from what most think reality is, try it sometime...

pezlady, most child sexual predators/molesters are White and like always, people like you have a blinded eye to the crime because it involves whites mostly.

Open your eyes sometimes and maybe you can help prevent another child from this crime.
Do your homework and then see who is ignorant.

You've GOT to be kidding! Could he possibly have a good reason for molesting little girls and hanging boys upside down in a closet?!

Candygirl- first, I am not white. Second, I have done the research. My problem with you is that you called this a white man's crime. Crime is crime no matter which race commits it the most. I have first hand knowledge of molestation and believe me, you don't have to be white, black, asian or hispanic for it to happen to you. My eyes are open and I have never and will never turn a blind eye to any type of crime.

I feel there is alot not said in this situation. Where was the mother during this whole ordeal? If indeed this was being done during this time. Why was he rearrested on the same aquisations when the accusers has failed to show up to court in the past year? If the news is going to slander someones character before being convicted I feel they should report the Whole Facts. Could this be a set up because he left the mother? After all of these years, come on now? Why has the mother failed to show up to all court appearances. It is alot unsaid in this case. But, like the lawyer asked for us not to form judgement on this case because when it all comes out we will see in the end.
