Jason Carmel, Darroll Barton II, Chasity Kennedy and Lorraine Crosland have joined the Art Institute of Charleston as assistant directors of admissions.
Carmel previously was an admissions adviser for the International Academy of Design & Technology. He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Argosy University.
Barton previously worked for ECPI College of Technology in North Charleston. He attended Prairie View A&M University in Texas.
Kennedy previously was a senior account manager for Paetec Communications. She holds a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Radford University.
Crosland holds a bachelor's degree in art history from the University of South Carolina. Previously, she worked for Prudential Carolina Real Estate.
Dr. Louester A.S. Robinson has been named director of the Palmer Campus of Trident Technical College. Previously, she was dean of the Division of Community, Family and Child Studies. She holds bachelor's degrees in economics and fine arts, a master's degree in child and youth care administration, and a doctorate in curriculum development and systemic change.
Engineering
Matthew D. Belt has joined Cummings & McCrady Inc. He holds a bachelor's degree in architecture from Clemson University.
Charles T. Dwyer has joined Earth Tech Inc. as program director for the transportation group. He has more than 17 years of transportation engineering experience and previously was project manager for the Cooper River Bridges replacement project for the S.C. Department of Transportation. He holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Florida.

Dale Van Slambrook has been promoted to managing partner of the Summerville office of the Steinberg Law Firm. Previously, he practiced in the firm's Goose Creek office. He practices personal injury, Social Security and disability claims.
James L. Ward Jr. and T. Christopher Tuck have been named members in Richardson Patrick Westbrook & Brickman LLC.
Ward is the business manager and practices in product liability, vehicle defects, business litigation and class actions. Tuck practices in class actions, complex litigation and securities fraud.
Marketing
Jessica Johnston and Nancy Lyons have been promoted at Trio Solutions Inc.
Johnston is vice president of client relations. Previously, she was director of administration and business development.
Lyons is office manager. Previously, she was administrative assistant.
Medical
E. Marcella Simmons has been named safety and occupational health manager for Naval Health Clinic Charleston. She holds a bachelor's degree in biology from Benedict College and has worked for the Navy for 21 years.
Elizabeth Handy has joined Roper St. Francis Healthcare, and Scott Broome and Brenda R. Myers have been promoted.
Handy is director of physician services. Previously, she was assistant vice president for Carolinas Healthcare Physicians Network in Charlotte.
Broome is service line director for oncology services. Previously, he was administrator for Roper St. Francis Medical Center-Berkeley and most recently interim director for oncology services.
Myers is administrator for Roper St. Francis Medical Center-Berkeley. Previously, she was director of physician services.
Nonprofit
Melanie Wilson has joined the Charleston Museum as chief interpreter, historic houses. She holds bachelor's degrees in history and anthropology from the College of Charleston. She has several years of experience in museums and management, and previously was education outreach coordinator for the Sumter County Museum.
Kym Kittle has joined the Charleston Animal Society as associate director. She has extensive volunteer and management experience. Previously, she was a physician assistant in the Department of Neurosurgery at the Medical University of South Carolina. She holds a bachelor's degree and is a registered nurse and physician assistant.
Printing
Carla Etheredge, Mac Kuhl, Justin Dibiase, Weldon Pundt and Terry Davis have joined Sawgrass Technologies Inc.
Etheredge is technical support manager. She has more than 20 years of experience in printing and holds a bachelor's degree in graphic communications from Clemson University.
Kuhl is an inside sales representative. He is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and an MBA student at The Citadel.
Dibiase is a technical support specialist in the call center. He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Georgia.

Simmons is publicity manager. She has more than seven years of experience in marketing and previously worked for the South Carolina Aquarium and New South Mortgage Corp. She holds a degree in marketing from Marshall University.

Ron Clark is director of marketing. Previously, he was director of operations for Seeds of Mt. Carmel in Ohio and a manager and administrator for Holiday Retirement Corp. He holds a bachelor's degree in education from Southern Illinois University.
Meaghan Clark is senior retirement counselor. Previously, she was community outreach director for Lutheran Hospice in Mount Pleasant. She holds a bachelor's degree in history and a master's degree in teaching from the College of Charleston.

Glenna Antenucci, Naomi Radcliff, Kelly Hughes and Pamela Owens have joined the Charleston office of Atlas Technologies Inc.
